Nigeria has several wealthy people who want to live in the best homes that money can buy. From luxury villas to spectacular mansions, the rich and famous have been making headlines with multimillion-dollar housing market acquisitions. It is imperative to note that there are other notable luxurious houses which were not mentioned in the list, as they do not meet the criteria used to set up the list. The number one most expensive house in Nigeria on this list is the Late Access Bank boss’ house. Herbert Wigwe, opened his palatial Queens Drive Mansion, Ikoyi Lagos, in December 2023. The House is reported to have cost him N5 billion Naira to complete. he had hosted billionaire businessmen, Aliko Dangote and Femi Otedola to Dinner in his newly built house.

Herbert Wigwe’s Ikoyi 20-bedroom mansion sits on 23,000 square meters of land.  This is the same land mass the Ikeja City Mall occupies. This mansion took 22 months to finish up. The edifice was said to be his retirement home amidst his other luxury properties sprinkled all over Lagos.

2. Okwudilli Umenyiora’s Mansion

The Okwudilli Umenyiora’s mansion is the most expensive house in Lekki, a residential area in Lagos where the highbrow resides. This mansion is also one of the most expensive houses in Nigeria. The edifice allegedly took 4 years to build and it is valued at N10 Billion naira.

3. Orji Uzor Kalu Camp Neya

Camp Neya remains one of the most flamboyant homes of any individual in Nigeria.  The edifice was named after his first daughter Neya Uzor Kalu and has over 400 rooms comprising over 36 jumbo-sized sitting rooms, A 12 room presidential lodge, 187 bedrooms, 22 Kitchens, 102 toilets,  and 76 bathrooms.

4. Mike Adenuga’s Mansion

Globacom CEO Mike Adenuga’s mansion on Banana Island in Lagos State. Aside from the fact that Banana Island is a highbrow residential area where a hectare of land can cost as high as N3.5 Billion, Mike Adenuga’s edifice is one of its kind in the entire country.
